Blackrock 3 - 23 V Mayfield 2 - 17  @ Church Road

Our Junior Hurlers were in scintillating form at Church Road this evening and brought off a great victory over Mayfield. Leading at half time on a score of 1 - 16 to 0 - 08, our boys scored a further 2 - 07 in the second half to finish with an impressive total of 3 - 23. A late surge by Mayfield yielded 2 goals but they never looked likely to overtake our boys. A feature of the game was the excellent long-range point scoring by both sides. 

The standard of hurling was excellent throughout and we introduced a lot of subs in the second half.
