Blackrock 5 – 08 V Glen Rovers 2 – 15 @ Ballinlough

Our Junior A Hurlers snatched victory from the jaws of defeat when they beat Glen Rovers in the first round of the championship at Ballinlough. Goals win games and our 5 goals to the Glen's 2 were instrumental in securing victory. Our poacher-in- chief was Paddy Lynch who not onlyscored 2 goals on the trot, he also created 2 further goals when he was fouled and Paul O'Brien, our trusty keeper, scored from the resultant penalties. Nathan Adams got the 5th goal and also scored 1 point. The remaining 2 points were scored by James Allen. We are now in the unique position of having all four adult teams winning their first round games.
