Our Junior 1 Hurlers travelled to Bishopston on Friday evening and came home with 2 points in the bag having defeated the local team on a score of 0 – 16 to 0 – 12.On a misty evening and playing with a slight breeze on their astro pitch, our boys set their stall out early and following an opening lead they kept their noses ahead for the first half finishing 3 points ahead on a score of 0 – 09 to 0 – 06. Scores came via Dave Garvan, 0 – 03. James Allen 0 – 02, Paul O'Brien 0 – 02. Paddy Lynch 0 – 01, James Walsh 0 – 01.

James Allen was very much to the fore in the second and was our chief scorer with 6 points and Hugh Espey also added a point to bring our second half tally to 7 points. Bishopstown replied with 6 points.
