Despite putting up a brave effort, our Junior B Hurlers came up short against Glen Rovers in Round 3 of the championship at a cold, windswept Ballinlough pitch on Sunday morning. Trailing at one stage by 8 points, our boys responded manfully and eventually came within two points of the Glen, 1 – 14 to 1 – 16, The Glen finished out the game with the final 3 points and ran out winners by 5 points, 1 – 14 to 1 – 19. Playing against a strong breeze we finished the first half just 5 points in arrears, 1 – 05 to 0 – 13. Our scorers in this half were, Peter Leneghan 1 – 00, Darragh Murphy 0 – 02, Kyle Leahy 0 – 02, Jack O'Sullivan 0 – 01.
