Blackrock 2-22 Whites Cross 2-5 @ Church Road.

Our junior hurlers completed their league campaign with an emphatic victory over Whites Cross on a bright sunny morning, perfect for hurling. Blackrock settled down to their task from the first whistle and built up an impressive 1-11 before Whites Cross got their first score, a point, quickly followed by a goal. James Allen, James Walsh, Tom Grainger, Kyle Leahy, Paul O’Brien, David Garvan, Barry Grainger all scoring points, with David Garvan scoring the goal. 

The team work throughout the field was a joy to watch, all six backs on top, giving a plenty of supply to midfield and the forwards, as the scores continued to mount. At half time Blackrock led 1-14 to 1-1.

The second half continued in the same pattern, as Blackrock dominated again, with Whites Cross getting a second consolation goal near the end.
