RedFM U14 Long Puck* competition

Congratulations to *Alan O'Callaghan* of Blackrock who won the *RedFM U14 Long Puck* competition held at half time in Sunday's National League match, and to runners-up Patrick Collins of Ballinhassig and Stephen O'Flynn of Carrigtwohill.

Blackrock Hurlathon

The Hurlathon committee wish to thank everyone who contributed to making Hurlathon Day 2010 at the Rockies a great day. The support and generosity of so many people both in the preparations and on the day itself was unbelieveable and uplifting in these times. We wish to thank our friends in the wider hurling community across Cork City and County for their support, especially Kevin Hennessy and the Cork Legends who contributed so much to the fun and excitement in their evening game with the Blackrock Legends

Safety Announcement.

Can we ask all parents and visitors to please park in the club car park at the Church Road entrance of the hurling club? Just walk around to the side hall entrance of the club to enter the pitches. Please try not to park on the Berlingford Drive roadway or to drive though the side entrance to the club. This is to ensure the safety of the young children who are being placed in danger at present by a few badly parked vehicles on footpaths etc. Thank you for your cooperation and enjoy your visits to Church Road.

Hurling Equipment and Club Gear

A full range of hurling gear including GAA approved Mycro hurling helmets, good quality hurleys, sliotars and other Blackrock hurling kit is available to purchase each Saturday morning. The club coffee shop is also open from 10am onwards are everyone is welcome to come along.

Primary Hurling

Saturday morning coaching for all boys born from 2000 to 2005 takes place each Saturday morning at Church Road from now until July. The hurling sessions commence each morning at 10am and new hurlers are very welcome. Hurling continues each Saturday morning from now until July starting for all groups at 10am.

All boys who wish to play in 2010 should register immediately.

The Super leagues for boys born in 2000 and 2001

Mick Cashman Cup for 2010

The Mick Cashman Cup this year will feature 10 teams.Two from Na Piarsaigh, two from Sarsfields, two each from St.Vincents and Blackrock. Ballinhassig and Eire Og are also taking part. The Tournament commences with a Blitz at Church Road on saturday 29th May next starting at 12 noon.
